Acts of Kindness

I wish to use this opportunity to tell of my Uncle's wife. I lost my father when I was in my early teens. According to the story told me by my father when he was still alive my Uncle J, was withdrawn from school because he was not doing well in his academic. My father, then a primary school teacher, decided that my Uncle should not end his academic pursuit aprublty. So he took him as his ward and to the glory of God, my Uncle was able to further his education to a higher level.
When my father died, my Uncle decided to repay the kindness by taking me under his roof. In our culture that was not consider a big deal. Some will even argue that it is his responsibility. My Uncle with the un-usual support from the wife catered for my welfare for over 15years. He single handedly sponsored me through the University with his little earnings. At a point in time, he was having extra 5mouths to feed beside his nuclear family that has 5kids.
That was only possible because of a wonderful woman. A woman that is truly a child of God. A woman who was able to cater for other peoples children as if she is their biological mother. A lot of people that knew me after I had started living with my Uncle never knew I wasn't her first Son. Few only got to know when they see me write my surname and it is different from my Uncle's. I pray that the Lord God will reward her immeasurably now and in eternity.

That is a heart-warming story. Your uncle was just "paying it forward" what you father had done for him.

If we all did this, what a wonderful world it would be.
